Ouch!!

As I was going through old photos looking for pictures to put up on my blog, I ran across these. I didn't realize how many "incidents" we had until now. I just hope nobody reports us to social services! : )
Over the years I have past many a kidney
stone. I'd have to go back and count but
I'd say there's been 8 or 9 that have sent
me to the emergency room in the past
eleven years. It got to the point where we
started to name them like another one of
our children. This one here is Celine. She
was past in Las Vegas while there to see
Celine Dion (front row center I might add -
Thanks Molly!)

Cameron fell and hit his head on the TV stand
two days before Christmas 1999. He had to
have it "glued".

Here Cameron got a Staph infection on his leg. Yuck!
2001

As some of you may remember, in July 2002
Cassidy's middle finger was 90% severed when her
brother accidentally closed her finger in the door.
This was not the only time she suffered a finger
injury. In May of 2004, Cameron and her were
playing tug of war with a purse strap that had metal
hook clasps on each end. Cameron pull so hard
that the hook got embedded into her finger. She
didn't have to get stitches but she did have it glued.

Cameron came into my room in the middle
of the night because he was having a hard time
breathing. He had to spend a couple of days
in the hospital under a croup tent. They
never figured out what was wrong nor
why it happened. August 2002

Here he is again coming out
from underneath the tent.
I remember how brave he was
when they had to put the IV in the
back of his hand several times.

Cassidy was born with a blocked tear duct
in her right eye. Most of the time the eye
unblocks itself in time but didn't in her case.
She had to be put under to have a surgical probe.
November 2002

I'm don't remember what happened
here but I'm betting it had to do with
her 4 year old brother...
Summer 2003

Get a load of this one! Cameron was playing
some kind of game where he would run as fast
as he could and then jump on the bed. Cassidy
stepped into his path while he was going
full speed and was knocked down. On the
way down she hit her head on the bed railing.
Summer 2003

Here's a side shot of Cassidy's bump.
Thankfully the swelling didn't last long and
she was back to her fun-loving self. She's
always been one tough cookie.
She's had no choice!

Here is the scar left from when Cassidy
was jumping on a bed and fell and cracked
her head between the eyes. Yes children,
this not only happens to monkeys... Let
this be a lesson to you. Fall 2003

Yet again Cassidy had to have stitches in her
head. This time she tripped on the
bottom step, lost her balance and slammed into
the corner of the wall. Sometimes those walls
just jump out at ya! October 3, 2004

This is what Kennedy would have been
on her first Halloween (a chocolate kiss) if
she hadn't been in the ER instead. Around
dinner time, while she was playing under her
activity gym she somehow rolled over and
got her left arm caught on the bar causing
nursemaids elbow (dislocated elbow).
October 31, 2004

We did pretty good and almost went a whole
year and a half before our next trip to the ER!
Then on February 3, 2006 Cameron fell down
the stairs and snapped his tibia (shinbone). He
was in a cast for 10 long weeks and in a
wheelchair the whole time. The best part
was being able to park in the disabled parking
spots. I miss those days... but not the days
of carrying him up and down the stairs.

His whole 1st grade class signed his cast as
did neighborhood friends and family. A little
advice: Don't break your leg. It's not
very convenient.

Getting Older

The Birthday Girl wearing a crown
made by Cassidy

I wish for...

Cameron and Cassidy made me a beautiful
handmade card and gave me an electric
peppermill. Very cool!

Giving thanks.

Matt decided I needed to lose some weight
and bought me a treadmill for my birthday...
Actually, I've been begging for one for months
now. My wish came true!

Blustery and Blissful

Our Christmas card 2006
The background design on the card
reminds me of the huge wind storm we had
in December where 1.5 million homes and
businesses lost power in the Seattle area.
We were one of the lucky ones and were
only without power for about 24 hours.

"Sexy Love"

I thought this was a cool shot of Matt
walking in the waves. You should see the
next shot where he realizes he's all
wet- not quite so rico suave.

Sunsets On The Beach

One of my absolute favorite things --
Watching the sunset on the beach.

Seagrove Beach, Florida

So incredibly romantic :)

Seaside

Some architectural photographs
One of the nine beach pavilions in the
quaint town of Seaside, Florida

In the center of Seaside there is a small
Post Office. Such a cute litte town. If you've
seen the Truman Show, you've seen Seaside.

This is the long boardwalk we walked daily
to get to the beach. Ahh, the memories!

Kennedy and Grandpa Tuckett
How sweet!

We were in Destin, Florida for the
Tuckett 2006 Reunion that Matt and I
were in charge of organizing.

"I Hope You Dance"

While on the cruise, we learned how to dance
the Austin Powers dance.

You're such a good sport babe!

La Vida Loca

Matt and I took a Mexican Riviera
cruise to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan,
and Cabo San Lucas in May 2006.
This picture was taken in Puerto Vallarta.
