Two weeks before the move my body tried to pass another kidney stone. Unfortunately this time the stones were too big to pass and I had to have a "surgical" procedure called a lithotripsy where they use soundwaves to break up the stones. I don't know if I would have classified it as a "surgery" but that's what the doctors called it. There were no incisions but they did put me under general anesthetic. After the doctor broke up the stones he put a stent in my ureter which remained there for 2 weeks. That was probably the worst part of the whole thing. That darn thing made me feel like my bladder was about to fall out at any given moment along with the constant need to pee like a bad bladder infection. I was SO glad to have that thing removed. I have yet to names these three stones so if anyone has any good ideas let me know!
Then a week after we moved my parents came into town and Matt and I headed off for our annual SimplyFun incentive trip. This year it was a cruise to Grand Turk Island and the Bahamas. No matter where we go we always have a great time meeting the consultants and making new friends. Here are some pics of our trip.

Its about time!
I was wondering what happened to you! I'm glad you're back. :) Sorry about the kidney stones (I'm lucky, have never had one). Looks like you guys had a ton of fun on your cruise. What a job, HAVING to go on a cruise every year.
You should post pics of your new home!
We have the same picture form half moon! So funny!
It makes me want to go back...
I love the look on that ladies face while Matt is bustin' a move- Classic!
Yeah your back:) You'll have to post some pictures of you house:)
Thank you for the detailed account of the kidney stone "procedure." So much more meaningful than just "I saw a doctor." Plus pics! I really appreciate the narrative nature of your blog -- much more enjoyable and informativei than Matt's blog, er, photo album. And much more up-to-date than my website, er, historical account of the first half of this decade. -- Mike
hooray! we are all glad you're back to your blog! sorry about the kidney stones; though i've never experienced anything like that, those pictures make me cringe! looks like another fun trip too! is your new home in the same ward?
yes i think we need more details on your new home....how exciting for you guys!!!
and oh the pics made me cringe too. i am sure that is painful.
glad you are back.
I'm glad to see you back up! Sorry to hear about the kidney stones and I'm very happy to hear about the house! That's exciting. You guys look like you had a great time on your trip, too.
I feel your pain, girl! Last October I had to have lithotripsy and a stent, I was literally in bed for 10 days. I thought the pain from the stent was worse than the stones! Good luck with the new house.
Looks like so much fun--the trip, not the kidney stones.
